Should Democrats be worried so much about abortion rights? Women didn't vote in record numbers in the last election and they knew they could lose this right if Bush won the election. Only 51% of women voted for Kerry and 48% voted for Bush. I always assumed that the vast majority of women were Pro Choice, but that must not be the case.
If a pregnant woman is murdered, it is considered two murders (the mother and child). Also with all the birth control available, do people really have a need for abortion? I've heard the argument that poor women would suffer if abortion was outlawed because they have most of the abortions, but is it fair to kill children just because they are from a poor family and unwanted. Bill Clinton and many others grew up in poor conditions, but luckily for him his mom didn't have an abortion.
I'm Pro-choice myself, but I do see the other side of this issue and I'm not finding many resasons to justify my viewpoint anymore. I just find it strange that Democrats are worried about abortion above all other issues. Maybe if Republicans ban abortion women will take their right to vote more seriously in the next election and actually show up!
